7 STEPS TO GROWING A SOUL

By Nadia Khalil Bradley
Accepting that our souls have the ability to grow is like saying to a baby, “You are free to live and there is nothing that you cannot do.” We all come to Earth open and free, yet somehow our emotional freedoms are stripped away little by little. For whatever reason, someone hurts our feelings, hinders our ability play, or squashes our excitement. Someone says to us, “You are going to do what?” And it stops us in our tracks.  We hear it so much that we start saying those same things to ourselves.  In the process our souls stop thriving and we end up being in a place where we do things that we really don’t want to do.  And then we wonder why we’re not happy!
Think about that voice in your head: what does it sound like and why do you listen to it? Ask yourself how you can undo the effects of all the negative self talk and still remain true to who you are.
Here are seven tips to help you overcome those negative effects and grow your soul.
1. No matter what you do, accept your role in it.
2. No matter what you say, be willing to stand by it, learn from it, speak from your soul and allow for discussion.
3. No matter who you meet, know that they come to your life for a reason.  Even the most unlikely suspect will teach you.
4. What you make a decision to do, you BUT do not discount it later by calling it a mistake.
5. Do not allow what happened to you with your parents to take away from the life you live now.
6. You are here to be who YOU are; you are not here to be who anyone else is.
7.  Change all the negative self talk to positive affirmations:
Remove these thoughts:
I don’t have the time I am always working I am too tired I do not deserve to be that person I will wait until I am happy to do that I do not know enough to do that I do not have money to do that My dreams never come true My life is not meant to be that important No one else believes in me No one else can see what I see No one else is as lonely as I am No one feels like me No one loves me No one cares about me No one will help me No one will save me No one is there for me
